Christine, the co-creator of Yoga M.A.T.T., has been practicing various types of yoga for over 10 years. She completed her 200 hour training certification at Om Yoga in New York City. Her certification is recognized through Yoga Alliance. She also completed a 60 hour Yin Yoga teacher training program with Corrina Brenner, owner of Wake up Yoga, in New York. Her interest in yoga developed out of a desire to gain strength and flexibility. However, she quickly discovered the benefits of yoga were much deeper than a physical practice.  She enjoys teaching various types of classes and incorporates a variety of deep stretches in all of her class types. Her classes strongly focus on proper alignment and form.
Christine enjoys an active lifestyle that includes weight lifting, running and tennis. As a result, her classes are a blend of movement that create flexibility, strength and core awareness. 
 
Her vision for Yoga M.A.T.T. was to create a studio that integrates both functional training, yoga and massage.  She strongly believes that this fusion based training is what allows clients of all ages to live and maintain a healthy and active lifestyle.  
 
Christine is also certified in TRX Group Training through Fitness Anywhere and Kettlebell certified through KBC.  She recently has been certified in TRX Sports Medicine and works with clients recovering from minor sport related injuries. Christine is CPR trained through American Red Cross. She is a graduate of Fordham University and received both a B.A. in Communications and an M.B.A. in Business.
Nationally Certified and N.J. State licensed massage therapist,  Certified Personal Trainer, Certified TRX group fitness instructor, Certified Kettlebell instructor.   As a 2001 graduate of the Somerset School of Massage Therapy and co-founder of Yoga M.A.T.T., Dave has been practicing massage therapy for over 14 years and is highly trained in several different styles of massage.   Swedish, Sports, Myofascial Release, Neuromuscular Therapy, Reflexology, Pre-Natal, Thai Yoga Massage and several other spa treatments.   He is a member of the American Massage Therapy Association of America, Certified nationally by the National Certification Board of Therapeutic Massage & Bodywork, licensed by NJ board of Nursing & Office of the Attorney General.  
 
His passion is sports massage and working with athletes to keep their bodies tuned up and performing at optimum levels. He also specializes in rehabilitative massage to assist athletes and everyday active people in their recovery process. Dave enjoys being able to make a difference in his clients lives either by assisting them through massage to help heal their bodies or by teaching & empowering them with the ability to obtain the physical fitness goals and results they desire.
 
Dave has been the massage therapist for the Rutgers football team since 2001, Rutgers women’s basketball team since 2004 and worked with seven of the New York Giants during their superbowl season in 2008. Dave has also worked with professional athletes that are currently on over 15 different NFL teams as well as Olympic athletes and amateur/weekend warrior athletes. In addition, he is highly regarded amongst high school athletes and plays a strong role in their recovery process from injuries.
 
Dave is a certified personal trainer, group fitness instructor and amateur competitive bodybuilder. He is certified through A.C.E. as a personal trainer, through KBC as a Kettlebell instructor & through Fitness Anywhere as a TRX group fitness instructor.
Alex is a certified yoga instructor and personal trainer who works with her students to help them reach their goals and aspirations through hard work and a splash of humor.

Her belief is that everyone can find a comfortable space to allow themselves to grow with the belief that one is never too old to accomplish their dreams and desires.
 
She has been involved in the athletic industry before she entered grade school, immersing herself in competitive swimming, boxing, mixed martial arts, and cross country. Alex competed for a semi-professional swim team for most of her childhood.

Alex is a certified yoga instructor, certified personal trainer, and also holds certifications to teach mixed martial arts classes. She is also CPR and First Aid certified.  She also holds a Bachelors Degree in Public Relations from Kean University.

Donna has been certified as a group fitness instructor through AFAA since 2009. She currently holds certifications in Zumba, Zumba Gold, Zumba Toning, Aqua Zumba, PIYO, Les Mills Bodyflow, and Les Mills Sh’Bam. She has been teaching Barre classes for three years. Donna has a background in dance and uses this knowledge in her approach to Barre class. Donna has always had a passion for dance and loves inspiring others to enjoy movement and dance as well. In her spare time she enjoys skiing, biking, and spending time with her three children.

Meghan attended her first yoga class at the age of seventeen. The simple presence of raw emotions while you are on your mat kept her fully engaged and coming back to learn more.
 
By the age of twenty she knew she wanted to make a bigger investment then just showing up for class and signed herself up for a teacher training course at Onyx Yoga Studio. She then went on to become a 200-hour Yoga Alliance certified Instructor.
 
Meghan's goal is to share that same passion and spark of something more meaningful with each student that attends her class. Leading you through a class that is both challenging and peaceful that will allow you to build strength up in both your mind and your body. Each pose she guides you through and words she speaks all come together in the hopes of helping you leave class feeling more peaceful and open to the wonderful life around you.
 
So much gratitude goes out to all her past, present, and future teachers who have helped lead her down this amazing path into the life of yoga. This is the work her heart has wanted all along and she is so very thankful she has found it.
Linda is certified through AFAA as a group fitness instructor since 2009.  She has a specialty license for Zumba and specializes in Barre fitness programs.  Fitness has always been a natural part of everyday life for Linda and she loves to inspire her students to follow the same active lifestyle.  She is excited about ramping up the barre program and letting everyone experience its benefits.  Through the use of small isometric movements, you are able to take your mind right to the muscle that you are engaging.  It's a powerful mental sculpting that delivers tighter toned physiques.  Linda focuses on strong isometric holds and taking you to that "fire" point where you are constantly challenging your muscles.

Donnalyn has been attending fitness classes at Yoga M.A.T.T since 2011. After experiencing her own physical transformation, Donnalyn was inspired to become a fitness instructor so she could help others do the same, regardless of age, training experience or fitness level.

Donnalyn began teaching in 2014 and is currently a Certified TRX®, Kettlebell and Barre Instructor. She enjoys teaching at Yoga M.A.T.T. because its intimate class sizes allow her to provide individual instruction during class, if needed.

Kelly discovered her passion for TRX and kettlebell training as one of YOGA M.A.T.T.'s first clients. Her inspiration to become an instructor comes from her two young daughters, whom Kelly aspires to show that "strong is beautiful". Kelly prides herself in maintaining a positive and judgement free training environment in which all clients feel comfortable, regardless of experience or fitness level.

When Kelly is not at YOGA M.A.T.T., you can find her substitute teaching for nursery through elementary school, attending sporting events, or spending time with her husband and children.

Kelly is currently certified as a TRX, kettlebell and barre instructor.

Gina has been teaching dance for the past 15 years.  Two years ago she added fitness to her teaching repertory.  She became certified in Rebounding, Barre, TRX & Personal Training. 
 
She enjoys pushing her clients so they achieve the results they desire while focusing on good form. 

Nancy is a warm and supportive teacher that leads from her heart and loves to laugh from down deep in her core. She is passionate about living every day to the fullest. Yoga has taught her the value in being fully present in the moment and appreciating the beauty in all that is around you. She has dedicated over 10 years to practicing yoga and is fully committed to balancing a daily yoga and meditation practice along with her lifelong passion for long distance running. Nancy received her 200 Hour Yoga Alliance teaching certificate from Onyx Yoga Studio. She is grateful to many teachers that have inspired her along this journey and will always be present in her teachings, these teachers have taught her the value of alignment, spirituality, laughter and the pure joy that comes from paying it forward and watching your student’s succeed. She is grateful to her family for their support along this journey.

Jennifer first started training with TRX @ Yoga-M.A.T.T. in 2011.  After her 1st class, she was hooked.  Jennifer became certified as both a TRX & Barre instructor & has been teaching ever since.
 
As a 4th grade teacher, Jennifer enjoys coming to Yoga-M.A.T.T. after school to use her teaching skills in a different environment
